MODEC is a general contractor specializing in engineering, procurement, construction and installation of floating production systems including Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels, Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) vessels, Tension Leg Platforms (TLPs), Production Semi-Submersibles, Mobile Offshore Production Units (MOPUs) and other new technologies which will meet the challenges of various types of gas production floaters. We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Administrator position in our Houston office.

The Systems Administrator will manage the Active Directory and Exchange systems.  Analyzes project requirements, proposes solutions and participates in support and troubleshooting as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Assists support and/or project personnel in resolving moderately complex problems. Works with client and management to resolve issues and validate requirements within their areas of responsibility. Provides technical advice on complex problems as needed.

·        Support production and test environments for Active Directory.

·        Troubleshoots, tests, debugs, implements, and documents operating procedures within the AD environment.

·        Communicates and escalates any major findings in operational items to IT Support Manager and/or IT Director.

·        Uses subject matter/functional expertise, and process skills to help internal/external customers to identify and meet any high priority needs.

·        Good understanding of the current state of IT Infrastructure, specifically pertaining to messaging facilitation via MS Exchange and Active Directory.

·        Supports and maintains the Active Directory structure and Group Policies in accordance to our departmental procedures and policies.

·        Functions as the Subject Matter expert for Active Directory, Exchange, Group Policy.

·        Management of PowerShell scripting to automate processes and procedures.

·        Adheres to all MODEC IT governance and recommends updates to governance as the IT environment evolves.

·        Follows and advocates change management procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

·        Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience Required

  • ·        3 to 5 years of related experience with Active Directory and product support.
  • ·        Experience supporting Active Directory installations, including troubleshooting and day-to-day maintenance.
  • ·        Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of Active Directory and Exchange technology
    and services.
  • ·        Experience in Microsoft Active Directory management including user and group security management, Group Policies, multi-site deployments and management of Windows Server Infrastructure.
  • ·        Expert knowledge in Windows Server Operating Systems.
  • ·        Expert knowledge in Microsoft Active Directory Design and support.
  • ·        Expert knowledge in AD replication and Exchange replication.
  • ·        Demonstrated knowledge of deploying and maintaining Windows and Windows related Server environments.
  • ·        Knowledge and experience with Cisco IronPort and similar technologies.
  • ·        Knowledge and experience with Netwrix Auditing.
  • ·        Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Cloud Services to include O365, ADFS, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online.
  • ·        Experience with Backup Monitoring and Backup troubleshooting.
  • ·        Experience with OS Patch Management.
  • ·        Experience with System Services and System Performance Activities.
  • ·        Knowledge and experience with Change Management Processes.
  • ·        Experience with creating and maintaining relevant documentation.
